The journey began in 2006 when Benjie joined a Steakhouse in Bayamón, Puerto Rico, starting as a dishwasher. Within a few months, he seized the opportunity to transition into the kitchen as a line cook. During this role, he honed his skills at fry and pastry stations before relocating to San Antonio, Texas. In Texas, Benjie expanded his culinary horizons, exploring Mediterranean and various other cuisines, which he later brought to Naples, Florida.

While working at an Italian restaurant in Naples, he served as a line cook, mastering all kitchen stations and refining his culinary expertise. The turning point came when a restaurant expanding from Ohio offered Benjie the chance to step into the role of Sous Chef. Shortly thereafter, he secured a position as an executive chef at a renowned Mediterranean restaurant. Accumulating over 15 years of experience in the culinary field, Chef Francisco "Benjie" Torres is now prepared to introduce his fusion cuisine to your dining experience.
